Ukraine-made garden furniture – brief overview

1. Production of garden furniture in Ukraine 

Ukraine produces broad assortment of garden furniture made of natural wood, rattan, plastics and steel, such as: chairs, arm-chairs, tables, stools, couches, deck chairs, furniture sets, etc. Should you plan to buy garden furniture, you may want to pay your attention to Ukraine-made one. 

According to the results of 2019 Ukraine produced 236.95 thousand pieces of garden and camping furniture. [1]

European countries purchased most – 56.21 thousand tons for the amount of USD279.77 million (Poland accounted for 15.50 thousand tons for the amount of USD168.44 million, Denmark – for 4.57 thousand tons and USD23.95 million, Germany – for 9.74 thousand tons and USD21.94 million, Belgium – for 7.33 thousand tons and USD19.25 million, Lithuania – for 2.57 thousand tons and USD6.59 million, Austria – for 2.24 thousand tons and USD5.49 million, the Netherlands – for 2.10 thousand tons and USD5.14 million, Romania – for 1.80 thousand tons and USD4.47 million, France – for 1.25 thousand tons and USD3.16 million, Spain – for 405.05 tons and USD3.13 million, Sweden – for 1.77 thousand and USD3.08 million, Bulgaria – for 1.34 thousand tons and USD2.57 million, Finland – for 1.18 thousand tons and USD2.21 million, Latvia – for 994.28 tons and USD2.10 million, Czech Republic – for 941.99 tons and USD2.02 million, Great Britain – for 525.15 tons and USD1.69 million). 

In 2019 the CIS countries acquired 11.10 thousand tons of furniture for the amount of USD27.75 million (Russia accounted for 5.27 thousand tons and USD13.09 million, Belarus – for 1.94 thousand tons and USD5.69 million, Moldova – for 1.49 thousand tons and USD3.77 million, Azerbaijan – for 1.28 thousand tons and USD2.42 million, Uzbekistan – for 861.72 tons and USD2.07 million, Armenia – for 145.45 tons and USD363.5 thousand, Kazakhstan – for 31.03 tons and USD184.3 thousand). Asian countries imported 669.60 tons for the amount of USD2.66 million (Georgia accounted for 514.23 tons and USD1.28 million, India – for 893.0 kilograms and USD810.2 thousand), the countries of both Americas procured 558.71 tons for the amount of USD2.23 million (the USA accounted for 157.11 tons and USD1.51 million, Canada – for 343.15 tons and USD594.7 thousand).
In 2019 Ukraine also exported 81.37 thousand tons of wooden furniture (including garden furniture) for the total amount of USD112.21 million. European countries purchased most – 70.30 thousand tons for the amount of USD92.23 million (Germany accounted for 23.96 thousand tons and USD34.46 million, Poland – for 18.16 thousand tons and USD19.75 million, Austria – for 5.79 thousand tons and USD7.81 million, Great Britain – for 1.34 thousand tons and USD3.67 million, Denmark – for 1.81 thousand tons and USD3.06 million, Latvia – for 2.63 thousand tons and USD2.67 million, Romania – for 2.41 thousand tons and USD2.43 million, Spain – for 1.83 thousand tons and USD2.19 million, Bulgaria – for 2.12 thousand tons and USD2.02 million, Sweden – for 921.91 tons and USD1.96 million, Slovakia – for 1.13 thousand tons and USD1.74 million, Lithuania – for 1.31 thousand tons and USD1.58 million, the Netherlands – for 1.25 thousand tons and USD1.47 million, Slovenia – for 1.13 thousand tons and USD1.36 million, Estonia – for 408.86 tons and USD905.7 thousand). 

The CIS countries acquired 8.31 thousand tons for the amount of USD15.79 million (Belarus accounted for 3.52 thousand tons and USD8.48 million, Moldova – for 2.90 thousand tons and USD3.27 million, Kazakhstan – for 1.35 thousand tons and USD2.00 million, Russia – for 177.02 tons and USD568.0 thousand, Azerbaijan – for 212.50 tons and USD477.1 thousand), Asian countries imported 2.28 thousand tons for the amount of USD3.25 million (Georgia accounted for 915.54 tons and USD1.36 million, Mongolia – for 1.07 thousand and USD1.12 million, Israel – for 274.86 tons and USD708.7 thousand), the countries of both Americas procured 449.63 tons for the amount of USD901.4 thousand (the USA accounted for 139.26 tons and USD601.5 thousand, Chile – for 174.41 tons and USD158.7 thousand).
