This silver cross, called "Crucifixion". Guardian Angel" is sometimes called the sea one. It is quite natural, because it is dedicated to the protection and rescue of those traveling by sea. More precisely, the reverse side of the silver cross, since the front part is made quite traditionally: the Crucifixion of Christ, the inscription “Nika”, the titles of the holy name “IC XC”, and above the words “King of Glory”. Next to the cross stand the Mother of God and the Apostle. John the Theologian. On both sides of the Crucifixion are Russian saints, patron saints of the fleet and sailors, St. Mitrofan of Voronezh and St. Arseny Konevetsky. One of them is St. Nicholas of Myra, who is also called “Nicholas the Sea” for his ability to tame the elements. The image of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker crowns the reverse of the silver cross. The lower part depicts his famous miracle of saving a ship in a storm, when, through the prayer of the dying sailors, he unexpectedly appeared at the stern at the helm and brought the ship safely into the harbor. Thanks to this thematic focus, this silver cross attracts everyone whose life is connected with the sea.
