A small cross with a Crucifix on the front side and a prayer on the back is made in the tradition of pectoral crosses. Its artistic image reflects the main purpose of the pectoral cross - to be a personal sacred sign of the Sacrament of Baptism. In Baptism, a person receives a second, spiritual birth and is adopted by God, receiving hope for salvation and eternal life. After all, “unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.” On the front side of pectoral crosses the Crucifixion is most often depicted, because Jesus Christ made this instrument of execution an instrument of victory over sin and death.
