A golden cross with diverging rays from the middle cross, which symbolize the light of the sun, the radiance of faith.  On the front side is the Crucifixion of Christ. Standing next to him are the Most Holy Theotokos and John the Baptist, bowing their heads in petition. The centurion Longinus also stands near these saints. According to legend, it was he who pierced the ribs of Christ. But, frightened by the natural disasters that followed, he believed that Christ was the son of God.

The inscription “Nika” glows above the Crucifix. It symbolizes the victory of faith over sinful darkness.
 
On the reverse side is the Mother of God “Seven Arrows” surrounded by two seraphim and archangels Gabriel and Michael. She is depicted with her heart pierced by seven swords. This symbolizes the pain and grief of the Mother of God in earthly life, therefore believers ask before this image for deliverance from bad thoughts, from condemning their neighbors, softening their hearts and protection from evil people.
