Maragojip is a type of coffee of the Arabica variety, excellent especially with large grain size, hand-picked on plantations in Central and South America. For the first time, this type of coffee was grown in Brazil in the vicinity of the city of Maragojaip, Bahia State, in 1876. The taste characteristics of Maragojaip coffee are close to those of regular Arabica from the same region, but its taste is richer. The drink prepared from this type of coffee has a balanced, rich, rich taste with citrus acidity, pleasant bitterness with a spicy aroma.
