The form of the flourishing cross in which this small pectoral cross is made goes back to the traditions of Russian crosses of the 14th century. The ends of its beams “flourish” with tripartite lily buds, representing purity, holiness and love. Since ancient times, the lily flower has also been revered as a symbol of peace and God's blessing. According to legend, it was the lily that Archangel Gabriel handed to the Blessed Virgin Mary, announcing to Her the birth of Her Divine Son.

Family harmony is impossible without God, the center of human spiritual life. God fills and sanctifies her with His presence, strengthens her in difficulties and blesses her in joys. This is taught to us by the holy example of the faithful spouses, St. Peter and Fevronia, who reigned in the city of Murom at the beginning of the 13th century. The couple lived in love with God, people and each other happily ever after, sharing joys and hardships.

At the bottom of the cross is an image of the most revered saint in the Church - Nicholas the Wonderworker, Bishop of Lycia, who lived in the city of Myra in Asia Minor in the 3rd century. Over the years of his pastoral service, the saint became famous for his many miracles and deeds of mercy.

On the reverse side of the cross, around the outstretched wings of the Seraphim, a prayer to Christ is written: “Lord, save, preserve and have mercy on me with Your grace.”
