G-LOFT - technology for creating artificial fluff

The Austrian company Coldeck Textile has been developing high-tech insulation for extreme weather conditions for 25 years, the reference for which was goose down. G-Loft nonwoven fabric is made of spiral-shaped hollow polyester microfiber. The air contained within the fibers provides high thermal insulation properties with a minimum weight of the material.

The thermal method of bonding the twisted fibers creates a three-dimensional springy structure with a high elasticity index. Insulation G-Loft has a "memory effect" - it restores its original shape after deformation. The treatment of fibers with a silicone emulsion prevents the process of "clumping" and improves the hydrophobicity of the material.

In terms of its hygienic performance, G-Loft insulation has surpassed natural down. It is just as light, provides protection at low temperatures, without having its disadvantages.

Its distinctive features are:

 • Low hygroscopicity. Hollow fibers can easily evaporate moisture when wet.

 • The material retains high thermal insulation properties even when wet.

 • High breathability. The G-Loft filling is highly breathable and provides comfort even under intense exertion, in contrast to natural down, which does not remove evaporation.

 • Hypoallergenic. Does not accumulate dust and does not create a breeding ground for mites.

 • Durability. The material is wear-resistant and has a long service life without loss of properties.

 • Padding polyester insulation does not fall off and does not migrate through the fabric.

 • The material dries quickly, does not require special care, does not rot.

 • High degree of elasticity allows products to be subject to strong compression.

Externally and to the touch, the material resembles natural fluff - it is just as soft, fluffy, easily wrinkled and quickly restores its shape.
