Archangel Michael is the supreme military leader in the hierarchy of angels (archangel). The name Michael from Hebrew means “who is like God.” It was the Archangel Michael who cast down Satan and his fallen spirits from heaven. Archangel Michael is the intercessor and patron of every Orthodox warrior, as well as a protector from all evil.
