USING A WELL HEAD
ENSURES:
• well protection from surface
ground water and foreign objects;
• significant yield increase for
shallow sand wells due to the
rarefaction emerging between
it and the declining water level
during pump operation;
• reduced possibility of material and equipment being stolen
from the well;
• increased reliability of pump
suspension and simplified manhole operation
INSTALLATION
The casing must be cut evenly
before the head can be mounted.
Cutting burrs must be removed; the
casing must be smoothed out on
the outside. Prepare the pump for
immersion into the well according
to the pump manual – connect the
plastic pipe; connect the wire of the
necessary length; build the cable; use
bolts to tighten everything.
Connect the free wire end to the
head shackle. Fix the shackle in the
bottom eye bolt, having previously
ran the plastic standpipe and the
cables through the head cover.
Install the flange with its flat surface up and the rubber gasket on the
well casing.
Having immersed the pump into
the well, install the head cover onto
the casing, liſt the rubber gasket and
the flange to the head cover.
Use bolts to fix the flange and
the head cover together, catching
the rubber gasket between them.
To avoid cable sagging, liſt them
and use cable inlets to fix them.
The polyethylene standpipe must
be tightened and fixed with a collet
clamp.
