On the front side of the cross is depicted the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ with the saints standing before Him, who, according to legend, were at the Cross of the Lord during His execution. On the left is the Most Holy Theotokos and Equal Apostles. Mary Magdalene, on the right - the Apostle John the Theologian and martyr. Longinus Sotnik.
On both sides of the Crucifixion are icons of the supreme apostles Peter and Paul. At the top is an image of the Holy Trinity, an image of the appearance of the Triune God to the forefather Abraham. Below is the icon “George’s Miracle on the Dragon”, an image symbolizing the victory of good over evil.

On the back, in the center, there is an icon of the Archangel Michael. The mighty Archangel leads the Heavenly Host in its confrontation with the dark forces. In the heavenly army there are Angels - Guardians of people and saints. They help people defend themselves from enemies and conduct spiritual warfare.
Next to the Archangel are depicted the famous heavenly warriors, protectors of people. To the left of the Archangel is St. blgv. Prince Alexander Nevsky, on the right - martyr. Leonidas, below - the serpent-fighting saints Fyodor Tiron, Fyodor Stratelates and Dmitry of Thessalonica. The reverse side of the cross is crowned with the Tikhvin Icon of the Mother of God.
